Many nonprofit organizations are exempt for federal tax purposes.  However, nonprofits may not be exempt from state taxes.  This study group will discuss state tax related issues for nonprofits including how certain activities could jeopardize its tax-exempt status, create sales tax obligations, and unrelated business income tax.
