About the Speaker - E. Daniel Leightman


Dan Leightman is a partner in the International Tax Group. Utilizing more than 30 years of experience as an in-house senior corporate tax executive, he handles a broad range of tax matters including foreign tax, mergers and acquisitions, worldwide effective tax rates, income tax, foreign currency issues, tax accounting, taxation of structured financial products and international joint ventures.


Prior to joining Gardere, Mr. Leightman was Vice President-Taxes at Cooper Industries Ltd. and Director of Taxes at Intel Corp. and Parsons Corp. Mr. Leightman is a frequent speaker for numerous tax conferences and seminars sponsored by IFA, Tax Executives Institute, Practicing Law Institute, Internal Revenue Service International - George Washington University, World Trade Institute, CITE, Risk Magazine of London, Financial Times of London and Structured Finance Institute, among others.

AAA-CPA continuing education programs are designed to meet the needs of Attorneys and CPAs and to qualify for credit both as CPE and CLE. Of course, the decisions of various state authorities determine the actual credit granted. There are no prerequisites or advance preparation requirements for this course.

Accounting CPE/Legal CLE/MCLE

The American Association of Attorney-CPAsis registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its  website A brochure with full details of the program is available from the association at 888-288-9272. These programs meet the NASBA standards of 1 (50 minute) hour of instruction.  If you require CLE in a state not mentioned, please call our national office and we will do our best to arrange for credit in your state.
