Program Description
On August 17, 2017, the Multistate Tax Commission announced the rollout of its Online Marketplace Seller Voluntary Disclosure Initiative. This program is a "special" limited-time initiative which ends on October 17, 2017 designed to encourage taxpayers who sell through third-party marketplaces to come into full compliance with their state tax obligations. Currently, twenty-three states and the District of Columbia are participating. Some states are waiving all back tax liability while others are limiting their look-back periods and/or waiving penalties.

Yechiel specializes in analyzing financial and business records, drafting letters to clients and government agencies, and performing legal research as a Tax Associate in M. Robinson & Company. Yale participates in the Boston legal community by publishing blog posts and by presenting about innovations in the tax law in various venues including the BPLA (Boston Patent Law Association) about a case law study of Daimond v. Hyundai and Spiridon Spireas v. Commissioner of Internal Revenue. Additionally, he has presented tens of lectures at the M. Robinson Annual Tax Updates including cases decided by the Massachusetts Appellate Tax Board, IRS Low Income Taxpayer Clinics, and the Massachusetts Department of Revenue's mediation pilot program. Patricia joined M. Robinson & Company in August 2014 as a Tax Associate where she represents clients in resolving federal, state, and international tax problems. Her experience in international tax law includes tax treaty review, international tax compliance under the Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program, preparation of international tax returns and international tax consultation. Patricia participates in the legal community as a member of the American Bar Association's Tax Section, as a member of the Boston Bar Association 's International Law Committee and as chair of the Philanthropy Committee for Trust and Estates Consortium of Boston. Additionally, she has been a guest speaker on a variety of tax law issues including state domicile, nexus, and overseas employment assignments for the Massachusetts' Society of CPAs, the Boston Bar Association, Strafford Publishing and Lorman Educational Services.
