About the Speaker

Lindsey Lee, CFA, ASA

Lindsey Lee is a Director in the Valuation & Financial Opinions Group. He has over 25 years of experience providing valuation, financial advisory, accounting and legal services to private closely held businesses, venture backed emerging growth companies and publicly traded corporations.  He has participated in valuations and advisory opinions for estate, gift and income tax requirements, financial reporting, fairness opinions, litigation support, mergers and acquisitions and private placements.  His experience includes preparing valuations, and reviewing valuations prepared by third parties, for purchase price allocations under ASC 805, goodwill impairment testing under ASC 350, setting exercise prices for employee stock options in compliance with IRC 409A and determining the fair value of stock options under ASC 718.


Mr. Lee serves a wide range of industries including manufacturing, wholesale/distribution, retail, energy services, power, telecommunications and information technology, among others.

Prior to joining SRR, Mr. Lee was a Vice President at HFBE where he was focused on valuations for financial reporting purposes. He also managed the execution of financial analysis and evaluation of corporation securities and partnership interests of private and closely held companies as well as publicly traded corporations for financial advisory and valuation projects. Prior to HFBE, Mr. Lee was a Senior Manager of Forensic, Litigation, Valuation Services at UHY Advisors FLVS, Inc., where he provided valuation services of business entities, securities, ownership interests and intangible assets for transactions, tax compliance and reporting. His past experience also includes serving as a partner at Bond, Taylor & Lee, LLP where he provided legal services to emerging growth companies and owner operated businesses.

 

Mr. Lee is an Accredited Senior Appraiser of the American Society of Appraisers and holds the Chartered Financial Analyst designation. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is Accredited in Business Valuation. Lindsey holds a CPA certificate and is an attorney licensed by the State Bar of Texas. 

 

CONTINUING EDUCATION INFORMATION

AAA-CPA continuing education programs are designed to meet the needs of Attorneys and CPAs and to qualify for credit both as CPE and CLE. Of course, the decisions of various state authorities determine the actual credit granted. There are no prerequisites or advance preparation requirements for this course.

Accounting CPE/Legal CLE/MCLE

The American Association of Attorney-CPAsis registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its  website www.learningmarket.org. A brochure with full details of the program is available from the association at 888-288-9272. These programs meet the NASBA standards of 1 (50 minute) hour of instruction.  If you require CLE in a state not mentioned, please call our national office and we will do our best to arrange for credit in your state.
