This presentation will focus on the most recent changes to the programs rules and will help explain the Forgiveness application process. Topics include: recent guidance, determining which forgiveness form to file, and revisiting the certification issue.

About the Presenters:
 
William LeVay
Bill LeVay serves as In-House Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer ("CCO") for FCA Corp, a fee-only wealth management firm offering Investment Management, Comprehensive Personal Financial Planning, Tax Services and Estate Planning.  He also serves as CCO for the Commonwealth International Series Trust and its five mutual funds: Africa Fund, Australia/New Zealand Fund, Global Fund, Japan Fund, and Real Estate Securities Fund. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business from Indiana University and his Juris Doctorate from Baylor Law School. . Bill is a member of the Texas Bar and is a Texas Certified Public Accountant, and is the immediate Past-President of the AAA-CPA.
 
 
Brian Yacker
Brian has over 22 years of tax, legal, and accounting experience in the exempt organizations area. 
Areas of exempt organization consultation in which Brian possesses expertise include public support test calculationand planning, preparation of reasonable compensation rebuttable presumption binders and Reasonable Compensation Studies, governance best practices consultation, recommendations regarding effective Bylaws, proper functional expense allocations, maximizing charity watchdog ratings, preparation of federal and state Tax Exemption Applications, conducting of  preparing state charitable solicitation registrations and the proper internal and external reporting of special event fundraisers.  Brian is currently an adjunct professor for the University of California Irvine, teaching the Nonprofit Accounting course in the Master of Professional Accountancy program. Brian earned his Bachelors degree in Finance/Marketing from the University of Virginia and his Juris Doctor from the Indiana University School of Law (Bloomington). 
 
AAA-CPA continuing education programs are designed to meet the needs of Attorneys and CPAs and to qualify for credit both as CPE and CLE. Of course, the decisions of various state authorities determine the actual credit granted. There are no prerequisites or advance preparation requirements for this course. 
 
The American Academy of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants, Inc. (AAA-CPA) is registered with the National 
Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on theNational Registry of CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE Sponsors through its website: www.nasba.org

 
*(M)CLE varies by state. If you require (M)CLE in a specific state, please send a request to meetings@attorney-cpa.com and we will do our best to arrange for credit. Please note that most state bars will accept our Certificates of Attendance sent in by the attorney and NOT charge a fee. A general Certificate of Attendance will be made available for those professionals who feel the program satisfies their continuing education requirements and are able to self-file. It is the responsibility of the attendee to determine whether their state, discipline, or designation will allow one to self-file for a distance-learning program.
