Program Description & Learning Objective
Charitable giving is a fundamental part of a estate planning today. The donation of complex assets to charity can be advantageous to the grantor and challenging to the professional advisor. The best strategies to accomplish this type of donation are not always understood nor are the benefits well known. In this one-hour presentation, we will explain both the advantages of donating complex assets to charity and the best strategies of how to implement them.

Nathan Daley
Nathan Daley is Vice President of the Complex Assets Group at Fidelity Charitable®, an independent public charity that has helped donors support more than 220,000 nonprofit organizations with over $24 billion in grants since its inception in 1991. The mission of Fidelity Charitable® is to further the American tradition of philanthropy by providing programs that make charitable giving simple, effective and accessible. Mr. Daley assumed his current position in 2014. In this role he works directly with donors, their advisors, and corporate and business lawyers to facilitate the charitable contribution of non-publicly traded assets to achieve the most favorable tax treatment with the greatest charitable impact. AAA-CPA continuing education programs are designed to meet the needs of Attorneys and CPAs and to qualify for credit both as CPE and CLE. Of course, the decisions of various state authorities determine the actual credit granted. There are no prerequisites or advance preparation requirements for this course.
The American Academy of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants, Inc. (AAA-CPA) is registered with the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors.
