- Mr.
Villa's practice concentrates on resolving federal tax
controversies and white collar crime such as securities, tax
and bank fraud. He represents individuals, closely-held
businesses, and large corporations in IRS audits, appeals, and
litigation. Mr. Villa represents individuals and entities in
business disputes and lawsuits involving fraud, breach of
contract, breach of fiduciary duty, deceptive trade practices
act violations, non-compete violations, business torts, and
other commercial disputes. Prior to joining Meadows,
Collier, Mr. Villa served as a Judicial Clerk to the Honorable
James J. Brady, U.S. District Court, Middle District of
Louisiana. He is admitted to practice in Louisiana and
Texas.

Villa is currently the IRS Investigations and Practices
Subcommittee Chair for the ABA Tax Section Civil &
Criminal Penalties Committee. He has been listed in
Texas Rising Stars, as published in Texas Monthly and
in Texas Super Lawyers - Rising Stars Edition and on

2012.

CONTINUING EDUCATION
INFORMATION
AAA-CPA continuing education programs are
designed to meet the needs of Attorneys and CPAs and to qualify for
credit both as CPE and CLE. Of course, the decisions of various state
authorities determine the actual credit granted. There are no
prerequisites or advance preparation requirements for this course.
Accounting CPE/Legal CLE/MCLE
The American Association of Attorney-CPAs is registered with
the National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a
sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of
CPE Sponsors. State boards of accountancy have final authority on the
acceptance of individual courses for CPE credit. Complaints regarding
registered sponsors may be submitted to the National Registry of CPE
Sponsors through its website www.learningmarket.org. A
brochure with full details of the program is available from the
association at 888-288-9272. These programs meet the NASBA standards of 1
(50 minute) hour of instruction. If you require CLE in a state not
mentioned, please call our national office and we will do our best to
arrange for credit in your state.
