Program Description
This educational program will cover all the ABA's current model ethical rules that are in place for most state bar associations. Learn how the ABA ethics work. Participants will be provided the new 2021 edition of the Rigos MPRE book.
Who Should Attend?
- Those seeking to be admitted to another state that requires new attorney applicants complete the MPRE exam.
- 2Ls and 3Ls students sitting for the national MPRE exam. Also to get a current short concise coverage of their professional responsibilities.
- Those who are in-active or on retired status and want a quick refresher on what to avoid.
Learning Objectives
An increased sensitivity to legal ethics applicable to both lawyer and judges in the United States. We cover all the current American Bar Association rules. The index at the end of the book should be used in our members in practice to look up rules upon which they may have questions and/or "incidents."

James J. Rigos is an attorney-CPA-CMA who has written and lectured widely in the area of professional accounting individual and CPA firm ethics and legal liability. He is a graduate of Boston University Law School. He has been involved as an advocate in over 200 legal and ethical claims against CPAs since 1980. He has served on the WSCPA's Mediation Committee and the AICPA's Accountants Legal Liability Committee. He is a National Director of the AAA-CPA and past President of the Washington State Chapter of the AAA-CPA. Jim also serves as the current Chair of the AAA-CPA National Ethics and Dual Rights Committee.
