Program Description

With COVID-19 forcing firms to transition to being a virtual and remote firm, there are many firms and accountants struggling to change how they work to continue to serve their clients.  This session will walk you through how virtual and remote firms operate differently from the traditional model. You'll learn the best practices in operating in this new model, as well as identify, and see in action some of the technology you need in your virtual firm. And we'll share potential pitfalls when working remotely and how to avoid them.

Learning Objectives

  • Identify changes firms need to make to operate in a virtual and remote environment
  • Discuss how managing people change when you are not in an office together
  • Identify technology tools that help you run your firm better in a virtual model including how you engage with clients and get paid promptly for your services
