PAAO at the AAO Annual Convocation
Every March the American Academy of Osteopathy (AAO) convenes an annual meeting known as the Convocation of the American Academy of Osteopathy. This gathering offers classes, hands-on workshops, and lectures to physicians and students geared toward improving osteopathic manipulative skills and philosophy.
Annual Elections and Business Meeting
The PAAO elections and business meeting will be held on Friday, March 13, 2015 at the Louisville Marriott Downtown from to 2:15 p.m. Eastern.
The PAAO Mixer is scheduled for Wednesday, March 11, 2015 from 4:30 to 6 p.m. Eastern at the Louisville Marriott Downtown. More information to follow.
Resident of the Year Award (applications due November 30th)
The American Academy of Osteopathy will accept nominations for the AAO Resident of the Year Award until Nov. 30. This award recognizes an outstanding osteopathic resident-physician. Individuals nominated for this honor must exhibit osteopathic principles and practices at their residency programs; encourage other residents, faculty and students to continue to use osteopathic principles and practice; and participate in Academy events, including, but not limited to, AAO Convocation, AOA Annual Convention, or other AAO educational programs.
Nominations: Nominees must be members of the AOA and PAAO. Nominations must be made via any AAO component society or osteopathic-approved residency program. Only one nomination per component society or residency program will be accepted.
From the Nominator:
A completed nomination form.
- A letter describing how the nominee meets the above listed criteria.
From the Nominee:
- A current CV or resume.
- A personal statement (of less than one page) describing your commitment to the Osteopathic profession, professional accomplishments, leadership skills and personal attributes that make you deserving of this award.
