The Council of Interns and Residents

Serving as the representative body and advocate for all osteopathic interns, residents and fellows in AOA, ACGME and military postdoctoral training programs, this group of dedicated postdoctoral trainees work to support you and your best interests to the AOA and the osteopathic family.

Almost every AOA bureau, council and committee has a designated Intern/Resident Representative position. This is a great way to get involved with the profession, especially in areas that most interest you!

The American Osteopathic Board of Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine (AOBNMM) 


The AOBNMM is one of 18 certifying boards operating under the jurisdiction of the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), parent organization of the osteopathic profession. Check out this link to find out information about applying for, and taking the board exams.




Sutherland Cranial Teaching Foundation (SCTF)


SCTF is an organization that dedicates itself to educational activities and directs resources to establish the principles of osteopathy in the cranial field as conceived and developed by William Garner Sutherland.
