Over the past two years, Teresa has been assisting acute rehab hospitals and long-term acute care hospitals in maintaining volume and operational excellence in the midst of regulation changes. Prior to joining Fleming-AOD as a consultant, Teresa held many leadership positions in the acute rehab industry for fifteen years. Mot recently she managed business development, admissions, case management and marketing referral development across inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation facilities in the Greater Boston market and managed a team of 24 liaisons. Teresa’s areas of expertise include census development, inpatient and outpatient program development, marketing, and public relations. Teresa assists clients with managing 60%-Rule compliance, quality reporting program compliance, clinical and financial performance improvement, appeals management, market analysis, referral and admission conversion rate, non-admission review, competitor analysis, bedside sales, utilizing outcome data to drive marketing and strategic business planning, & ACO (Accountable Care Organization) positioning.
Teresa earned her Master's in Social Work from Boston College. She has presented at national and state conferences, such as American Rehabilitation Nurses, on topics related to quality reporting program, post-acute regulation changes, program development and volume improvement strategies, education on post-acute levels of care, market analysis as well as programing and rehab technology return on investment.
Teresa is an active member of American Medical Rehabilitation Providers Associations (AMRPA) and is the Immediate Past President of the Board of Directors for Brain Injury Association of Massachusetts.
