Pain Management and Opioid Safety in the MHS
Military-connected patients report high incidence of chronic pain. The MHS Stepped Care Model seeks to provide our patients with the most effective pain management guided by CPGs while avoiding chronic pain, reducing opioid use, and minimizing complications for the minority of patients that do require opioids. What are the keys to implementing this model?
