Description

Explore music therapy ethics through the lens of peer relations and essential conversations. Review the 2019 AMTA Code of Ethics and how it applies to situations that arise between colleagues. Explore topics including dual relationships, therapeutic boundaries, collegial business relations, and daily ethical challenges which may impact the public view of music therapy.

Schedule

  • 15-minutes introduction
  • 30-minutes CODE review and
  • 30-minutes ethical decision making- exploring models
  • 35-minutes current ethical issues in music therapy reviewed
  • 15-minutes break
  • 60-minutes case study discussion
  • 30-minutes lunch/meal
  • 60-minutes participant chosen topics
  • 20-minutes final discussion wrap-up and questions
