Description


Substance Use Disorders have reached epidemic proportions with music therapy vastly under-utilized. Learn about self-care, session planning, treatment and prevention strategies by one music therapist treating 150 patients weekly at three facilities, offering dynamic, innovative programs that meets the needs of patients, clinical staff, and administration.

Objectives:

1. Participants will be able to identify challenges and solutions SUD treatment facilities encounter.
2. Participants will be able to identify patient preferred music interventions.
3. Participants will be able to identify music playlists effective in prevention and session planning.
4. Participants will be able to identify self-care methods incorporated within session plans.
