Description:  The webinar will provide an overview of what opioids are, current statistics regarding use, overdose, addiction, costs, etc., how the current epidemic came about and why it's so far-reaching, current legislative actions attempting to curb the use/sale of opioids, the claims and relief sought by governments in lawsuits against "Big Pharma" and specifically the Multi-District Litigation pending in Ohio, and an analysis of insurance coverage case law in the CGL space, as well as issues relating to other lines of business (D&O, Professional Liability, and Workers' Compensation). Some reinsurance issues will be briefly discussed.
