Assistant/Associate Professor – Broadcast Journalism and Media Management –Oklahoma Baptist University
Candidates will be expected to teach courses within the converged curriculum of the Division of Communication Arts including news-gathering (print, broadcast and new media), management in media organizations, social responsibility (media law and media ethics) and other courses related to the candidate’s areas of expertise. A candidate with news experience is a plus. Preference will be given to candidates with knowledge and experience related to using various communication platforms. The person in this position will also advise the weekly student newscast, “News30.” The candidate should be willing to establish contacts with professionals in Oklahoma media.
Candidates should have a record of college-level teaching effectiveness, an on-going pursuit of scholarly/creative output, and active involvement with national associations. A Ph.D. in Electronic Media, Digital Media Arts, Broadcast, Journalism or related fields is preferred. Applicants with a Masters in Electronic Media, Digital Media Arts, Broadcast, Journalism or related fields and significant professional experience will be considered. Must be an evangelical Christian.
