Event Description

This event is for managers and chapter Diamond Sponsors only. Other members will not be able to register for this event.

Our first annual Meet the Managers event is free to attend for all manager members and will feature our Diamond Sponsors presenting educational roundtables, speed-dating style. Learn about various topics listed below. Attendees will be invited to participate in 5 of the ten roundtables listed below. When registering for this event, each attendee will be asked to rank the topics below from 1 to 10, with 1 being the topic you are most interested in and 10 being the topic you are least interested in. Attendees will then be grouped together for the roundtable rotations based on your rankings. We will do our best to make sure each attendee is able to attend their top 4 ranked topics!

This session will present proactive steps that a manager and board can take to make sure that when large capital projects arise, you can secure the funding you need. As this can sometimes be years of preparation, knowing ahead of time and having a plan are paramount. This interactive round table discussion will focus on how associations can recover monies after obtaining a judgment against a delinquent unit owner, including the use of such methods as repayment agreements, asset identification, garnishments, sale of personal property as well as the unit and related enforcement strategies. Attendees will also be provided with the opportunity to discuss challenges to post-judgment collection efforts, such as a mortgagee's foreclosure and a unit owner's bankruptcy. A great way to learn what to do to get from the judgment to the money for your association.
