Event Description

For most banks, their branch networks are their largest expense category. And yet most have seen human-based transactions and accompanying traffic decline significantly, making their expensive branch network less efficient. But branches aren’t going away – nearly 85% of all new accounts are opened in physical branches. We still need them, but they need to change to be relevant. There is no simple answer to the question “We know we need to change but what should we do about it at our bank?” In this session, we will address practical concerns of community banks. How to insure branches are relevant in this changing environment. Handling challenging issues around staffing and managing daily activities with Universal Bankers. Addressing the issues of legacy, single purpose branches in a cost effective way.

3 Key Takeaways:

  1. Keeping branches relevant: role of the branch in the next 5 years
  2. Staffing strategies: is the Universal Banker the right strategy for your bank?
  3. New strategies for handling oversized and excess real estate
