The January 1, 2021 evaluation and management (E/M) guideline modifications are the biggest changes to E/M coding in many years. Join us as we review the updates with focused education on the medical decision-making table and cover the new time elements for leveling E/M services for new and established patients.
During this session, we will go over comparative examples of current versus new guidelines, walk through exercises in applying E/M levels and participate in interactive application of the new guidelines to case scenarios. We will also explore key documentation elements to look for to assign proper levels under the new guidelines.

- Foundational understanding of changes to the guidelines
- How to apply medical decision making in E/M leveling under the new rules
- Direction on addressing leveling related to time elements
- Application of new guidelines, experienced through case examples for both new and established patients

Rose has also acted as an adjunct instructor teaching an allied health courses and a certified coding boot camp.
