Wendy Gorman, Global Head of Credit Risk, Wholesale Chief Credit Officer, Goldman Sachs
Wendy is global head of Credit Risk and serves as the firm's wholesale chief credit officer within the Risk Division. In addition, she oversees risk within the Investment Banking Division. Wendy is cochair of the Firmwide Capital Committee, and is also a member of the Firmwide Risk Council, Asset Management Private Credit Investment Committee, Investment Banking Division Growth Investing Committee, Risk Governance Committee and Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses Committee. Wendy joined Goldman Sachs in 2017 as a managing director and was named partner in 2020.
Prior to joining the firm, Wendy worked at the Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) from 2015 to 2017, where she also served on the Board of Directors for RBC Capital Markets LLC, the US broker dealer, and was on the Chief Executive Officer’s Diversity and Inclusion Council. She worked at Bank of America from 1996 to 2015 as an executive in risk management.
Wendy serves on the board of The International Association of Credit Portfolio Managers.
Wendy earned a BA in Economics from New York University and an MBA in Economics from George Washington University.
Lloyd Plenty, Chief Risk Officer, BNP Paribas
Lloyd Plenty joined BNP Paribas in October 1996 and is currently the Chief Risk Officer for CIB/AM Americas having been appointed in July 2016. From July 2011 to June 2015, he had been the Global Head of IMMI (Investment Managers and Market Infrastructures) within the Risk-IM stream of Group Risk Management. In this role he managed 100 FTEs in 6 locations worldwide. The team covered risks in our activities involving Asset Managers, Wealth Management, Prime Brokerage, Clearing, CCPs and Electronic Markets. He was also responsible for developing Collateral Policies for the CIB and IS business poles.
Prior to this he was the Regional Co-Head of Risk Capital Markets for the Americas from December 2007 and the Head of Counterparty Risk Financial Institutions (“CRFI”) for the Americas from July 2003. Prior to relocating to New York in 2003, Lloyd was based in the London office undertaking the role of Global Head of Control and Reporting for CRFI. In this role, Lloyd had responsibilities for the development of credit risk systems, the monitoring and reporting of counterparty risk exposures and the production of regulatory capital figures across Capital Markets, Securities Services and Private Banking activities.
Prior to joining BNP Paribas, Lloyd spent 4 years at SBC Warburg, where he performed a number roles including transaction analysis on capital markets transactions, credit systems and credit policy development. Lloyd has also worked for Merrill Lynch Asset Management and Deutsche Bank in the United Kingdom in Treasury Accounting and Audit roles respectively.
Mark D. Huffstetler, Executive Credit Risk Officer for the Corporate and Investment Bank, Head of CIB Credit Risk Management, Truist
Mr. Huffstetler serves as the Executive Credit Risk Officer for the Corporate and Investment Bank. In his role, he is responsible for strategic alignment of credit risk with each of the practice groups for CIB. He is also responsible for credit portfolio performance and the adjudication of credit risk commitments.
Mark’s team of Credit Risk Managers work closely with banking and product teammates to support the growth needs of the bank’s clients. The team is aligned to deliver industry focused credit solutions in Healthcare, TMT, Financial Institutions, Energy/Power, Consumer/Retail and Industrials sectors. His team of Asset Finance Risk Managers are aligned by product, including Asset Securitization, Asset Based Lending, Supply Chain Finance, Leasing, Structured Real Estate and Energy Project Finance. In addition to the adjudication of risk, the team also implements credit policies, processes and standards to ensure proper risk management execution.
Prior to assuming his current position in 2020, Mr. Huffstetler held the role of Head of Capital Markets. In this role, his teams included the capital raising activities of Equity Capital Markets, Syndicated & Leveraged Finance, Investment Grade Debt Capital Markets and Public Finance; capital structure advising through Restructuring Advisory, Ratings Advisory Services and Liability Management; and execution of rates, currency and commodities hedging strategies for clients through the Financial Risk Management team.
Before joining the bank in 2006, Mr. Huffstetler held numerous roles at Bank of America, where he spent the majority of his tenure in Syndicated Finance. Mr. Huffstetler’s experience includes leveraged and non-leveraged transactions for large corporate, middle market, asset based, and project finance clients.
Cam DesBrisay, Executive Vice President, Wholesale Credit Risk, Group Risk Management, RBC
Cam DesBrisay is EVP, Wholesale Credit Risk within Group Risk Management. Cam has global responsibility for the bank’s credit risk exposure to larger corporate, bank and public sector credits. Cam is responsible for the risk management interface with RBC Capital Markets, and sits on the Capital Markets Operating Committee as well as the Global Risk Management Operating Committee.
Cam joined RBC in 1992, and spent five years working in Corporate Treasury and Market Risk Management. He joined Global Credit in 1998, where he held progressively senior positions including Head of Loan Portfolio Management Head of Global Credit. He joined Group Risk Management in his current role in 2017.
Cam is on the board of the International Association of Credit Portfolio Managers and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He holds an MBA from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Mechanical Engineering) from the University of British Columbia.
Michael Crumpler, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Risk, Credit Benchmark
Michael is currently Chief Operating Officer and Head of Risk at Credit Benchmark. Before joining Credit Benchmark in 2016, Michael was at Goldman Sachs in the Credit Risk Management & Advisory group, where he covered a diverse portfolio of credits across the natural resources and public finance sectors. Prior to Goldman, Michael spent over 10 years in credit risk and banking roles at Barclays, Dexia and Moody’s Investors Service focused primarily on energy, infrastructure and U.S. public finance.
Michael holds a Master of International Affairs from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs and a Bachelor of English Literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
