To help support The California Staffing Professionals Annual Legislative Day, the Inland Empire Chapter will be dark in the month of March. This is the Staffing Industries opportunity to join hands and walk the halls of the State Capital in Sacramento, CA to meet with our Legislators and share the GREATNESS our industry provides.
We’ve found our work is never done, with predictive scheduling and, the taxing of services among many others on the radar. There are always new legislators and new ideas on how the government can "help" out our communities. As you well know, California is a hotbed of ideas that while intended to help, seems to always negatively impact the staffing industry. Public policy and laws enacted impact multiple parts of our business from employment law, worker's compensation, and business regulation to taxes and fees.
On Monday evening March 12, 2018, we are holding our Legislative Forum in Sacramento. The following day March 13, 2018, we are going to visit our state representatives. These two events are an investment in your business. It takes time and effort but there is great reward. Having your voice heard makes a difference.
We hope you can join us for this VITAL event. You can find more information at www.cspadvovacy.org or feel free to reach out to me personally.
Our April Inland Chapter Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday April 17th back at the Market Broiler. Our Speaker is Usama Kahf with Fisher & Phillips LLP. Usama will be discussing the rise in wrongful termination and wage & hour claims. More to come soon……..
