This online course introduces participants to issues service members, veterans, their children, and caregivers may face in their daily lives. By the end of the course, participants will be able to identify signs and symptoms of substance abuse, anxiety disorder, trauma, and depression. Connecting service members, veterans, and families to community programs and resources will also be addressed.
Online courses are designed to be completed within a prescribed time frame. However, participants can log in and out of the course program at any time throughout the week. Registrants will receive a welcome email 3-5 days prior to the start of a course which explains how to log on to Canvas (the program where the course is held online) and a syllabus outlining the required reading materials as well as discussion and learning activities due each week. The name and contact information for the course instructor will also be included.
Please note the courses require a minimum number of registrants. CWLA reserves the right to cancel a course in the event of insufficient registration.
