The number of women in the military has been steadily rising over the last few decades. Women may now officially serve in combat roles. This online course addresses the history of women in the military, the current roles women play in the military, and issues faced by women in the military including gender inequality and discrimination.

Online courses are designed to be completed within a prescribed time frame. However, participants can log in and out of the course program at any time throughout the week.  Registrants will receive a welcome email 3-5 days prior to the start of a course which explains how to log on to Canvas (the program where the course is held online) and a syllabus outlining the required reading materials as well as discussion and learning activities due each week. The name and contact information for the course instructor will also be included.

Please note the courses require a minimum number of registrants.  CWLA reserves the right to cancel a course in the event of insufficient registration.
