Military Family Specialist Certificate Program
Employment, Education, Homelessness, and Community Resources (10 CEUs)
May 18, 2105 – June 13, 2015
Registration Fee: $370.00
This online course introduces students to the unique challenges service members, their families, and caregivers experience upon a service member’s return to civilian life. Some veterans enter the workforce immediately, and others use their educational benefits to further their skills. Regardless of which path they choose, veterans need guidance to fully assimilate. Some veterans, however, struggle and find themselves homeless and in need of community resources. Skills in supporting returning veterans in their reintegration to communities and civilian life are taught.
Online courses are designed to be completed within a prescribed time frame. However, participants can log in and out of the course program at any time throughout the week. Registrants will receive a welcome email 3-5 days prior to the start of a course which explains how to log on to Canvas (the program where the course is held online) and a syllabus outlining the required reading materials as well as discussion and learning activities due each week. The name and contact information for the course instructor will also be included.
Please note the courses require a minimum number of registrants. CWLA reserves the right to cancel a course in the event of insufficient registration.
