Eye banks often work closely with Medical Examiners and Coroners, and developing a strong relationship with these entities can be very important. Join EBAA on March 22, to learn how to build relationships with your local ME or Coroner offices. Attendees will hear from both an investigator at an ME office and two eye bank professionals with processes in place to effectively work with local ME and Coroner offices. The investigator will discuss the culture at her office to support donation, steps taken to improve communication, dramatic increase in referrals since implementation of a donation portal in late 2015, and other ways in which they help facilitate the donation recovery process. The eye bank representatives will present their processes for communicating and working with ME and Coroner offices. Register today to learn about how other eye banks are working with their local ME or Coroner offices to increase donations to help increase the number of individuals who will receive the gift of sight!
