Recommend creation of subgroups to deal with specific concerns resulting from local governmental actions affecting the real estate industry and/or private property rights.
Recommend appropriate positions on legislative issues to the Board of Directors.
Work to maintain cooperative relationships with government officials at all levels.
Encourage political involvement by members.
Participate in appropriate governmental activities of the state and national associations.
Disseminate educational and informational materials to the members, the public and the media.
Annually coordinate and conduct an RPAC fundraising effort.
Encourage the Connecticut Association of REALTORS® to support legislation that would strengthen pre-license and continuing education requirements in order to increase the level of professionalism
Monitor local and regional private property right issues.
Use the ECAR website and email communications for legal alerts to the members and the public
Maintain a database of members who serve in appointed and elected state or municipal positions.
Members of the Board of Directors shall serve as ex-officio members of the Government Affairs Committee.
