Walter is nationally recognized for creating strong, modern buildings that transform educational, cultural and civic institutions. He has devoted his career to projects that enhance the quality of public life from performance halls, libraries and places of worship to fire stations and community colleges. Walter’s design focus includes the larger issues facing institutions and communities. He is widely recognized as an advocate for design excellence and the public policies that support it.
