10:15-12:00 “STREAMLINING FROM THE INSIDE OUT“
Presenter: Melissa Sines, Director, Effective Practices, PEAK Grantmaking
Learn about common ways that grantmakers get bogged down in their own internal grantmaking processes, which can be unnecessarily laborious, redundant, and slow. Participants will diagnose issues in their own organizations and hear stories from colleagues who have undertaken streamlining efforts and succeeded in building support and sustaining change. Participants will develop action plans for streamlining from the inside out to understand who will need to be on-board for change to start and stick.
During this workshop, participants will:
- Complete work to develop a “map” of their own internal grantmaking process.
- Share maps of their own internal grantmaking process, identifying common issues that bog down processes.
- Develop action plans for streamlining internal processes.
This workshop will help members build their competencies in:
- Design and Implement Review Process
- Process and Change Management

1:15-2:00 BREAKOUT SESSIONS
Members will break into groups by various topics to share ideas and discuss issues impacting our work
2:00-2:45 ANNUAL CONFERENCE DEBRIEF
Attendees will share their favorite topic sessions from the Annual Conference.
2:45-3:00 WRAP UP (FUTURE AGENDA ITEMS - DISCUSSION)
