Simplifying Grantmaking with Data Sharing Tools - Part 2: The Technical Details
Simplify is an Initiative of the Technology Affinity Group (TAG) which promotes using technology to streamline the grantmaking process. By adopting tools that improve funder processes and share funder and nonprofit data, foundations and nonprofits can spend less time (and money) on process and more time on the purpose of their missions. These tools facilitate data sharing, increase the accuracy of data, and improve efficiency, leading to better reporting and benchmarking, and ultimately to better outcomes. This session will focus on the technical and logistical details of implementing the different tools promoted by the Simplify Initiative: the "HOW". (In June, Part 1 of this series focused on the "WHY" of the tools.)
Learning Objectives:
Attendees of the webinar session will leave with an understanding of:
- What does implementation look like for each of the different tools?
- What are the different tasks involved in adopting the tools, and who will have to do those tasks? (GM staff, IT staff, GMS vendor, grantees, etc.)
- What are the technical and logistical hurdles we're likely to encounter during implementation?
- Once we've done the work to implement, what else do we need to do to best take advantage of the tools?
