Event Description

Join the Rocky Mountain Chapter and special guest speaker Andrew Means for this important and interactive session on how we, as grants managers, can best use data to create a culture of learning within our foundations/organizations.

Participants will walk away knowing:

  • What data and data analysis look like
  • How to mine and analyze your existing data to gain insights
  • Data collection best practices and techniques
  • Tools for analyzing and presenting data to influence decision-making
  • How foundations are creating a “Learning Stack” to support and improve data and learning

Andrew Means is Head of beyond.uptake the philanthropic and civic innovation arm of Uptake and Co-Founder at The Impact Lab. He has dedicated his career to creating a more effective and efficient social sector by developing data tools that help organizations improve their impact.

Additionally, Andrew is founder of Data Analysts for Social Good, a professional organization for individuals interested in how data, research, and analytics are changing the social sector. Through this work Andrew hosts webinars, classes, and an annual conference attracting hundreds of leaders from around the world.

Instructions: The Daniels Fund is located in a residential neighborhood. Therefore, we ask our guests to be considerate of our neighbors by parking only in our guest parking lot. The Daniels Fund guest parking lot is located at 1st Avenue and Madison Street, just west of the building. Enter from Madison Street. The gate will open automatically upon entry or exit, and no code is needed. Parking is free for Meeting Space guests. Underground accessible parking is available upon request. If accessible parking is needed, please notify us prior to your meeting so we may accommodate your guests.

Lunch will be provided at 12:30pm, followed by the meeting at 1:00-3:00pm. Parking is available.
