As funders, part of our role is to live up to the standards we ask of our grantees. When it comes to communicating quantitative information, we often reuse the standard pie or bar chart without thinking about the ultimate purpose of the visual. This webinar will provide an introduction to visual best practices and provide you a basic toolkit for how and when to use different types of visualizations. We will also highlight how Tableau Foundation uses visualizations to promote transparency for grantseekers and others.
Learning Objectives:
- Develop an understanding for the basic principles of visual analytics
- Gain exposure to different charts and graphs; and understand how they are appropriately and effectively used
