Inaccurate documentation causes legal, ethical and reimbursement problems everyday in home health care and clinicians lack of knowledge of documentation is the causative factor. This program is designed to address each of the problem areas of documentation. The agenda will cover the legal and ethical issues in home care. It will address examples of errors in documentation that lead to denials of payment and failures in demonstrating standards of practice. Using case example scenarios the program will discuss how clinicians should document for each category of skill covered by the home health benefit.
