Workshop Description & Objectives
PDGM is here, RCD is coming for many, along with proposed 5-day RAP penalties.
Understanding “WHAT” these new systems require of an agency, does not give agencies the practical solution of “HOW” to survive and thrive within CMS’s new requirements. Hospitals, SNF’s, LTACH’s and IRF’s restructured their quality assurance and utilization review departments to manage DRG’s, Value Based Purchasing, and PDGM. Home health agencies need to do the same. Join us to learn what best practices in the acute and sub-acute settings were chosen and used for success; and how home health must do the same in order to achieve operational efficiencies and financial predictability in CMS’s new systems. Best Practices Covered: Standardization & Systemness, Referrals, Scheduling, Care Planning, OASIS Assessments, Quality Assurance, and Documentation. The elimination of after-hours charting for your clinicians MUST be the cornerstone of all of your PDGM implementation plans.
The course content will include results from a nationwide survey about what providers have learned over the first month of PDGM.
