Code Enforcement & Land Use Webinar-Complying with the Fair Housing Act while enforcing Land Use Regulations

This presentation will discuss the Fair Housing Act, how it applies to your client, and how your client can enforce its land use regulations without running afoul of the Fair Housing Act.  Such land use regulations include housing codes, zoning regulations, and other similar requirements.

Speaker: Patricia “Trish” Link

Before practicing law in Austin, Trish Link received a Bachelor of Arts from Louisiana State University and received her law degree from Texas Tech University. After law school, Trish worked for the Texas Workforce Commission and Office of the Attorney General.  She started with the City of Austin Law Department in 2005 as a municipal court prosecutor and since that time has worked in the Litigation, Land Use-Real Estate, General Counsel, and Municipal Operations divisions. She advises on a variety of subjects, including affordable housing, code enforcement, fair housing, special events, and sound. She is the Chair of IMLA Code Enforcement Section. Trish was designated an IMLA Fellow in 2020.
