Dear Members,

Please join us for our next Virtual Book Club, discussing:

Psychosis, Trauma and Dissociation - Evolving perspectives on Severe Psychopathology
Edited by Moskowitz A, Dorahy MJ, Scafer I. Second Edition

This comprehensive second edition attempts to fill the gaps in our understanding of the complexities of trauma and dissociation and their relevance to psychosis. Compiled by a group of world recognised and highly experienced clinicians, researchers and teachers in the field of trauma and dissociation, this book covers history, research, clinical aspects and the emerging evidence of the role of trauma in mental illness. That psychosis cannot any longer be viewed as “incomprehensible phenomena unconnected to a person’s life experiences” is put forward with unmistakable coherence, yet deserving of discussion that will enable us to improve our understanding, enhance our clinical skills and therefore our therapeutic approach. We are not discussing the research chapters, as that may not be subscribed to as much as the rest of the book, which is understandable.

We hope to meet virtually with many of the authors over the first half of this year, in what promises to be an interesting, educational and clinically invigorating enterprise.

We would love for you all to share this VBC with us.
