Event Description

Welcome to the ISSTD Virtual Book Club Registration page.

We are very excited to announce our new Virtual Book Club discussion which will begin October 7 and continue for eight weeks accompanied by the authors. The book to be discussed is a new publication entitled:

"Neurobiology and Treatment of Traumatic Dissociation: Toward an Embodied Self" by Ulrich Lanius, Sandra Paulsen, and Frank Corrigan.

This is a text steeped in cutting edge research and clinical thought regarding how neurobiological processes are affected by trauma, the inevitable role of dissociation, and how these issues inform psychotherapy. We have all been exposed to some degree as to the neurobiological dynamics of trauma and dissociation, but few of us have had an opportunity to really grasp these sometimes confusingly complex concepts. Here is your chance to read along with a group of like-minded clinicians and experts to really explore and understand more clearly what many of us only understand generally. As clinicians we have already embraced overwhelming complexity. Let's seek further clarity by embracing the content of this enriched text!

Continuing Education Credits (up to 15 pending approval) will be available for a nominal cost, but the discussion is of course free to you as a member of ISSTD. Please join us!

This is for ISSTD Members Only. If you are not yet a member and are interested in joining, please visit: http://www.isst-d.org/default.asp?contentID=216
