Welcome to the ISSTD Virtual Book Club Registration Page
Dear Members,
The ISSTD Virtual Book Club would like to invite you to join us for a reading and in-depth discussion of Trauma Model Therapy: A Treatment Approach for Trauma, Dissociation and Complex Comorbidity written by Dr. Colin A Ross, MD & Naomi Halpern, C.Q.S.W. Trauma Model Therapy was published in 2009 is a very practical introduction into the field of working with complex trauma and dissociation. This book provides an easy to read and sensible approach to exploring dissociation with clients. The book also introduces general principles of treating clients with a trauma-centered lens. Throughout the book, the authors give succinct and practical examples of implementing core therapeutic interventions with clients through use of client-therapist transcripts. Join us in exploring this valuable and accessible book that is an excellent starting point for students and emerging professionals in the field of complex trauma and dissociation.
This discussion will also include two zoom calls with the authors to provide an opportunity to ask questions directly! Below is the full schedule of the book club discussion.
