Welcome to the ISSTD Virtual Book Club Registration Page
Dear Members,
Best wishes to all of you for a peaceful 2021 and welcome to our newest member of VBC, Nicole Black who has generously volunteered to join Rick and myself in bringing to you valuable papers and books for discussion.
We hope that this paper will invite the views of everyone -students, emerging professionals and experienced members alike, whether you are a clinician, researcher, educator, or whether you work with children or with adults.
As the author points out the "term trauma-informed is trending". There is a growing awareness among the professions, of trauma and its effects, and there has been so much said about trauma-informed services to cater to the needs of this population. Have we achieved, and will we achieve these services? Or, will these services purported to be trauma-informed in fact be everything else but trauma-informed?
There is lots to discuss, and you are invited to air your views. Every view is invaluable and we have decided that this will be an open discussion, without the author being waited on to answer your questions or discuss your views.
Looking forward to chatting with you all during the week.
