Topic:  The class will cover how a collision is handled from the law enforcement perspective and steps that need to be taken by the company to minimize both liability and cost

Presenter: 

David Guess, PhD, CDS, SPHR.  EVP of Safety & HR for Usher Transport, Inc. and the current KTA Chairman of the Board.

Dr. Guess also serves within the governance of Usher Transport, Inc. as a member of the company’s Executive Board of Directors. Usher Transport, Inc. is a chemical and petroleum transport company based in Louisville, KY. For more than 20 years, he has served in key leadership roles within the transportation industry. Presently, in addition to his career in transportation, Dr. Guess serves as an adjunct professor of business locally for two metro Louisville area colleges and is a frequent conference keynote speaker.

Dr. Guess has served on numerous industry-related boards such as the American Transportation Research Institute’s Research Advisory Committee. He is the current Southern Region Chair for the National Tank Truck Carriers Association. He has served as the Academic Advisory Board Chair for NATMI in Denver, CO. since 2003.

He began his career more than 20 years with the Kentucky State Police in the Division of Commercial Vehicle Enforcement.  Dr. Guess holds a Masters in HR, an MBA, a Doctorate in Education from the University of the Cumberlands, a Doctorate in Theology from Newburgh Seminary, and is currently working towards a third Doctoral Degree at the University of the Cumberlands.
