Program Objectives: The overall objective of this program is to provide the participant with a quality educational conference that focuses on continuing the integration of osteopathic philosophy and principles into their practice of medicine as well as providing practical and clinically relevant information. Upon completion of this CME program, which includes clinical vignettes and updates on the latest guidelines/evidence-based medicine, the physician or healthcare provider should be able to formulate a differential, make a diagnosis and develop a plan for the prevention and/or therapeutic management of the various disorders presented. Each CME topic has its own set of learning objectives, which are available upon request.

AOA CME Accreditation: The Maine Osteopathic Association is accredited by the American Osteopathic Association to provide osteopathic continuing medical education for physicians. The Maine Osteopathic Association designates this program for a maximum of 22 AOA Category 1-A credits and will report CME and specialty credits commensurate with the extend of the physician’s participation in this activity.

American Academy of Family Physicians: Application for CME credit will be filed with the American Academy of Family Physicians. Determination of credit is pending. Credit earned from the AAFP may be claimed by the physician as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 Credit.

Faculty Disclosure: All faculty members participating in the program are expected to disclose any significant financial interest and/or other relationship with the manufacturers and providers of commercial products and/or services discussed in their presentation and their relation or financial interest in any commercial contributor to the educational activity. Guest speakers and topics are subject to change without notice in the event of situations beyond the control of the MOA.

Vendor Support: Vendor support of this educational activity does not imply approval or endorsement of any products by the accreditation organization or the MOA.

Industry Sponsored Symposia: Portions of the Official MOA Educational Program and Product Theater Presentations may be considered “Industry Sponsored Symposia” and may not offer CME. The MOA is required to fully disclose this on all materials. Therefore, all MOA program information and marketing materials will fully disclose meal lectures and presentations that are considered “Industry Sponsored Symposia,” and do not offer CME credits.

Registration Procedure: In order to register for the conference, complete the registration form and return it to the MOA office, 128 State Street, Suite 102, Augusta, ME 04330 with the proper registration fee.
You may also register on-line at www.mainedo.org, or you may fax your registration form if paying by credit card to 207-623-4228. Register before to January 3rd, 2019, for the early registration discount.

Special Needs: If you or your guest (s) require any special arrangements or dietary needs to attend this program, please indicate your need on the registration form, or contact the MOA at 207-623-1101.

Cancellation/Refunds: If you must cancel, please notify the MOA in writing. A $50 cancellation fee will be imposed if registration is cancelled prior to January  18, 2019. No refunds will be provided after this date. A $50 service fee will apply to all on-site conference registrations.

Inclement Weather: The Maine Osteopathic Association’s policy regarding inclement weather during its 2019 Midwinter Symposium is that all CME offerings and activities will continue as planned. Refunds will not be provided to registrants or exhibitors. In the event that a speaker is unable to travel to the site or is delayed due to inclement weather, every effort will be made to schedule a substitute speaker. The Program Committee Chairs and MOA staff may readjust the program agenda to accommodate speaker delays without prior notice.
