This program will examine, in depth, the role of the sports psychologist with a focus on the perspective of the Sports Psychology model, the types of interventions offered, and the treatment goals. Attention will be paid to the overlap between sports psychology, health psychology and clinical psychology. Dr. Dulberg will also discuss performance enhancement. Case studies will be used to illustrate key points.
Upon completion of the program the participant will be able to:
· Interact effectively with the medical profession in their sport psychology-related practice
· Understand the basic performance enhancement techniques
· Work with injured athletes

Harvey Dulberg, Ph.D., is a nationally recognized leader in the sports psychology field. Listied in the United States Olympic Registry, Dr. Dulberg has worked with both professional and amateur athletes, coaches and teams for over 30 years. He works with his clients to improve their athletic performance while incorporating the enjoyment and personal satisfaction that sports provide. In addition to his private practice in Brookline, MA, Dr. Dulberg has authored several nationally published articles. He has appeared regularly on network and cable television and wrote a nationally syndicated newspaper column called “Sports Shrink”.
