Signs of Communication—September 2016
This one-time course, for babies from 2 months to pre-walking with parent or caregiver, introduces up to 20 American Sign Language signs that serve to help babies and their caregivers better communicate. The class is designed to instruct parents on communication techniques and be stimulating and fun for babies while they learn in an enriching environment that provides a community of support.
This one-time 90 minute introductory session will:
- Demonstrate the benefits and research behind using sign language as an early form of communication
- Training on how to teach your baby to sign
- Provide modeling of proper signing by the facilitator with each pair
