Nov 18, 2011 03:00pm

Event Description

BY INVITATION ONLY.

The SEL Leadership Conference will bring together K-12 educators and advocates from across Massachusetts to review and discuss Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) findings, policies and best practices. This limited-invitation conference is being organized and sponsored by the Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology, Teachers21 and the alliance of SEL partners. Your school or collaborative is one of a select few identified as having made a significant commitment to advancing social-emotional and behavioral health goals in K-12 education.  This unique conference will provide valuable information, resources and networking opportunities for all participants, and serve as a springboard for conference sponsors to provide ongoing support to participating schools in the areas of leadership and organization, curriculum, professional development and program evaluation.

Keynote address by Roger Weissberg, President and CEO of the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning (CASEL), who will highlight recent research, practice and policy advances in the field of social and emotional learning (SEL), and identify classroom, school, and district approaches to promote SEL.
