W. Douglas Tynan, PhD, ABPP and William James College faculty, instructors
The program will help faculty of the doctoral clinical psychology program to understand the role of integrated healthcare in future practice, and instruct them in how to best prepare their students to be able to meaningfully participate in this type of practice. Using current data from existing integrated healthcare programs and relevant existing literature, participants will learn about integrated healthcare, the importance of outcome data in it, and will come to know what skills their students need to be taught.

10:30 am Guest Speaker – William (Doug) Tynan, PhD – Acting Director of the Center for Psychology & Health at APA (directly head of Integrated Health Care Efforts)

Presentation on necessary skills to be taught for a psychologist to function in primary care within the context of the changes in payment of the health care system (including payment for quality and outcome)
