This will be a full day offering of 6 content hours (6 CEs). There will be 4 presenters including the following: Neuropsychologist who is a dementia specialist, a health psychologist who will address the health impact on the caregiver (the “hidden patient”), a clinical social worker who is a dementia specialist presenting cases and discussing strategies for what the caregiver and family can do, and a geriatric case manager discussing available home-based services.

​Erlene Rosowsky, PsyD, is a licensed psychologist and past-president of Needham Psychotherapy Associates, LLC.She specializes in the assessment and treatment of emotional problems at middle-age through later life. Specific interests are personality in older age, health and aging, and the older couple. Dr. Rosowsky divides her time between clinical practice and professional and community education. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor in Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry, Harvard Medical School, and is affiliated with the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center – Needham Campus. She is a member of the Core Faculty of William James Collegey and is Director of their Center for Mental Health and Aging. Dr. Rosowsky is a Fellow in the Gerontological Society of America. Dr. Rosowsky is well-published in the professional literature, and is a popular national speaker and workshop leader for both professional and lay groups. She wrote a regular column, Speaking of Aging, for the Journal of Retirement Planning and serves as Chair of the Generations editorial board.
Gayle Clark, LICSW, Is the Director of the Geriatric Mental Health Outpatient Clinic at the VA Boston Healthcare System. The 2 clinics located at the VA in Boston and Brockton provide MH treatment to older Veterans in the context of age related changes. In addition Gayle has a private practice in Cambridge near Harvard Square.
Maureen K. O'Connor, PsyD, ABPP-CN, is the Director of Neuropsychology at the Bedford Veterans Hospital and the Director of Cognitive Rehabilitation at the Center for Translational Cognitive Neuroscience. She is Assistant Professor of Neurology at Boston University School of Medicine.
Geoffrey Tremont, PhD, is Associate Professor of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Brown University Medical School of and Director of Neuropsychology at Rhode Island and The Miriam Hospitals. Dr. Tremont is also an Associate Director of the Brown University Clinical Psychology Training Consortium .
Karen Wasserman, LICSW, has worked with elders and their families for the past 30 years. Karen started Your Elder Experts, the Geriatric Care Management program at JF&CS in 1999, and has managed its growth into one of the Boston area’s leading Care Management practices.
