Recent studies suggest several novel approaches for helping children who exhibit impulsivity, hyperactivity and other problematic behaviors which interfere with their development, both in and out of the classroom. We will discuss causation and symptoms along with the promising success of strategic interventions and modifications of the environment. We will also explore how parents and other significant adults can become partners with professionals in working toward a common goal.
