Awards and Scholarships Membership

The Scholarship Committee solicits candidates for scholarship funds and establishes the selection process to be used for candidates; establish criteria and guidelines for scholarships, grants, and loans; and to provide annual follow-up on all students who receive funds from NAHSE.

The Membership Committee develops and implements membership recruitment, retention and reclamation strategies aimed at increasing membership in NAHSE.

Budget and Finance Mentoring Program

The Budget and Finance Committee recommend and monitor the financial goals for NAHSE.

The Mentoring Program Committee is responsible for the development of NAHSE's national mentoring program which identifies senior NAHSE members to serve as mentors and matches them with qualified NAHSE mid-careerist who are selected as protégés. The committee manages program guidelines, mentor-protégés selection, communication, fundraising and program evaluation.

By-Laws Public Policy and Advocacy

The By-Laws Committee maintains the NAHSE by-laws and evaluates proposed changes brought forth by the NAHSE membership.

The Public Policy Committee develops and implements the national public policy agenda and works to increase NAHSE's involvement on advocacy issues related to minorities and healthcare.

The Research Committee was established at the Atlanta Leadership Meeting in 2003 to complement and build upon the mission and goals of the organization; to support advocacy and evidence-based management initiatives; to identify web-based survey tools to quantify advocacy initiatives; to incorporate the research agenda into the annual meeting activities; and to apply for grant support to pursue the research agenda.

Educational Conference Planning Young Healthcare Professionals

The Educational Conference Planning Committee is responsible for planning and coordinating all aspects of the Annual Educational Conference including sponsorships, speakers,workshops and social activities.

The Young Healthcare Professional Forum Committee is responsible for planning and managing the Young Healthcare Professional Forum each year, which is held during the Annual Educational Conference, Business Meeting and Exhibition. The committee is also responsible for obtaining corporate sponsorship for the Student Forum.

The Everett V. Fox Student Case Competition Committee is responsible for planning and managing the Annual Case Competition including the recruitment of student teams, providing direct recruitment opportunities for graduate students and healthcare organizations, and obtaining corporate sponsorship
