Did you receive your NASWVA Certified Trauma Specialist credential in Spring 2018? Then it’s time to recertify – to maintain your certification, you need to complete a 7 hour training every two years.
NASWVA is pleased to once again partner with Dr. Delores Dungee-Anderson to provide the required training to the NASWVA Trauma Certification/“The Body Keeps the Score©”.
The recertification training will provide a trauma-based Family Systems treatment approach designed for trauma-based intervention with biological and foster families who are caregivers of traumatized children. The training will provide a five-step structural and strategic family systems hybrid evidence-based approach.
The training will begin with an introduction to the Family Systems theory approach to trauma work and present the five phases of FST treatment. Participants will engage in experiential application of the model’s intervention strategies.
This comprehensive 7-hour seminar addresses and updates attendees on key information related to Trauma Informed Care, including:

If a registrant cancels more than 10 days before the event, a refund will be issued by check or credit back to your credit card, minus a 10% administrative fee. If cancelation occurs less than 10 days prior to the event, no refund will be issued but you may request a credit towards a future training to be used within 1 year of the cancelation date. Call the Chapter Office (804-204-1339) to cancel within 10 days of the training. A request for credit may be granted at the discretion of the Executive Director in case of a documented emergency.
