"Solitary: Inside Red Onion State Prison" - film screening and discussion.
Join Amnesty International of Northern Virginia, Interfaith Action for Human Rights, Social Workers Against Solitary Confinement and Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington for a film screening of "Solitary: Inside Red Onion State Prison" on Sunday, May 6 at 12:30 pm. "Solitary" is a daring exploration of the lives of inmates and corrections officers in one of America's most notorious supermax prisons.
A light lunch will be served in the Center at 12:30 pm. The screening of "Solitary" will start at 1:10 pm in the Activity Room, followed by the panel discussion from 2:30 - 3:30 pm.
Attendees may receive credit for 2.5 Category I Contact Hours, approved by NASW Virginia. CE certificates may be purchased on the NASW Virginia website following the training at www.naswva.org. CE certificates are $5.00 for NASW members and $10.00 for non-members.
